Dr Priya Narayanan trained in clinical radiology at St George’s Hospital, London, followed by a fellowship in gynaecological oncology imaging and body MRI at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Her regular clinical practice is comprised of gynaecological and abdominal imaging.
In 2008, Dr Narayanan was appointed as a consultant radiologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where she was the lead radiologist for MRI services. In 2014 she moved to University College Hospitals (‘UCH’), where she continues to work in her NHS practice. At UCH, Dr Narayanan pursues her specialist and research interests in gynaecologic oncology and imaging of endometriosis.
Dr Narayanan has lectured nationally and internationally on benign and malignant gynaecological disease and is the author of several peer reviewed papers and book chapters on gynaecological imaging. She has a broad range of experience in imaging techniques (ultrasound – including liver elastography and transvaginal ultrasound; CT and MRI), encompassing acute medical and surgical pathology to the abdomen and in more specialist gynaecological imaging. Her main interests, both in research and clinical practice, include gynaecological oncology and imaging of patients with endometriosis.
